该酒以当地优质高粱为原料，小麦制曲，龙泉井水和沱江水为酿造用水，沿用数百年的传统固态发酵、混蒸连续发酵工艺。产品按不同等级命名，分为大曲酒(出口)、特曲、头曲，再次为二曲、三曲。泸州老窖特曲以“无色透明，醇香浓郁，饮后尤香，清洌甘爽，回味悠长”的独特风格闻名于世，是我国浓香型白酒的典型代表，又称“泸香型”，酒度有38~65 度等多种规格。

The liquor is made of local high-quality sorghum as raw material, wheat for making quill, Longquan well water and Tuojiang water as brewing water, following the centuries-old traditional solid-state fermentation and continuous fermentation process of mixing and steaming. The product is named according to different grades, divided into Daqu liquor (export), Special Qu, Head Qu, and again, Second Qu and Third Qu. Luzhou Old Cellar Special Liquor is famous for its unique style of "colorless and transparent, mellow and rich, especially fragrant after drinking, clean and sweet, with a long aftertaste", and is a typical representative of China's strong fragrant liquor, also known as "Luxiang type", with various specifications of 38~65 degrees.

Historical Origin

泸州老窖特曲始于明朝万历年间，距今已有400多年历史。据记载，明末清初泸州舒姓武举，在陕西略阳担任军职，对当地曲酒十分欣赏，曾多次探求酿酒技艺和设备。清朝顺治十四年(公元1657年)，他解甲还乡，开设酒坊，试制曲酒。这就是泸州的第一个酿酒作坊——舒聚源，也是现在泸州曲酒厂的前身。到清乾隆二十二年(公元1757年)，所产曲酒已闻名遐迩。至清光绪六年(公元1880年)，泸州大曲酒年产量已达10吨左右。

The world-famous Luzhou Old Cellar Special Liquor was first made during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, more than 400 years ago. According to records, Shu, a military officer from Luzhou who served in Luyang, Shaanxi Province, in the late Ming and early Qing dynasties, was so impressed by the local liquor that he sought out brewing techniques and equipment. In 1657, he returned to his hometown and opened a brewery to try his hand at making liquor. This was the first brewery in Luzhou, Shu Juyuan, and was the predecessor of the present Luzhou Qu Liquor Factory. By the 22nd year of the Qianlong reign (1757 AD), the wine was already famous for its production. By the sixth year of the Guangxu reign (1880), the annual output of Luzhou Daqu liquor had reached about 10 tons and its fame had spread.
